‘Bah Jyllud’ held in city

SHILLONG: David Lyngdoh Marshillong alias Bah Jyllud, who escaped from police custody, was re-arrested in the city on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said Marshillong was travelling in a local taxi (ML05 M 7811) from Madanrting when he was spotted by two constables from Sadar police station.
When he got down in Laitumkhrah, police arrested him and took him to the nearest Laitumkhrah police station.
Marshillong was caught by villagers of Umdihar in Ri Bhoi on Monday and was handed over to police. But Marshillong, who is also called Phantom, managed to escape from Nongpoh civil hospital when he was taken for medical tests.
