Former minister Raswai no more

SHILLONG: Former Minister Probin K. Raswai, who also served as the KHADC CEM, passed away on Tuesday morning at NEIGRIHMS after sudden illness.
As an MLA, he had represented Langrin Constituency (Ranikor) for two terms from 1988 till 1998 and as MDC from 1999 to 2004.
He was in charge of the departments of Sericulture and Weaving, Sports and Youth Affairs, Mining and Geology and Border Areas till the end of his term in 1998.
He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 1:30 pm at the Lumshyiap cemetery.
