Man shot dead

Meerut: A 44-year-old man was on Tuesday shot dead by unidentified assailants in Bhavanpur here, the police said.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon when Anil Kumar (44), store in-charge of a gas agency, was sitting in the waiting room of agency’s godown with his two colleagues, they said. The four assailants reached the godown on two motorcycles and opened fire on Kumar, the police said, adding the accused then escaped from the spot.Kumar, who received four bullets injuries on his chest, was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his wounds, they said.
