Prize distribution
The prize distribution of the 43rdAnnual Cultural Competition organised by Ramakrishna Mission, Shillong will be on August 5 from 3:00 pm at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Quinton Road.
Office bearers
Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement, East Khasi Hills held its general meeting on Thursday and elected new office bearers for the term 2017 – 2020. The President is S R Swer, vice-president Mark Iawphniaw and Aibor Hynniewta, general secretary Sainborlang Nongsiej.
Art competition
All Shillong Krishana Das Paul Choudhury memorial art competition will be organised by “Zenith Jubelieth Club” Laban. It will be held at Laban Bengalee Boys’ H S School on August 6. Drawing sheets will be supplied but other drawing materials should be carried by participants. For spot entry/and seating arrangements participants should report at the venue at 10 am.
Gratitude
The Students’ Union of Sohra Government College expressed their gratitude towards Education Minister Roshan Warjri and the officers of DHTE for filling up the vacant post in the Education department of the college. They also thanked local MLA T Chyne and MDC D Kharwanlang.
4-day workshop
The four-day workshop on enhancing teacher’s effectiveness for secondary and higher secondary school teachers concluded on Friday at Ampati. It was organised under Chief Minister’s Career Guidance and Counseling Scheme.
General meeting
The Annual General Meeting of Central Puja Committee will be held on August 6 at 10.30 a.m. at Jagannath Mandir, Thana Road, Shillong. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
