Assam  signs MoA with FICCI for Global Investors Summit

GUWAHATI: The Department of Industries and Commerce of Assam has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in view of the upcoming Assam Global Investors Summit in early 2018.

Commissioner of Industries and Commerce, Ashutosh Agnihotri and Deputy Secretary General of FICCI, Arun Chawla signed the MoA in presence of Industries and Commerce Minister, Chandra Mohan Patowary in a ceremony at the Assam Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) Office here.

Assam government plans to organise an Investors’ Summit – Assam Global Investors Summit – ‘Advantage Assam’ for promoting investment in potential sectors in the state of Assam. The Government also wishes to arrange alongside the ‘Pravasi Axomia Divas’ for fostering stronger diaspora engagement with their motherland and create a link between the State Government and Pravasi Assamese.

Chairman, AIDC, Mission Ranjan Das; Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Ravi Capoor; Commissioner, Dr KK Dwivedi and other senior officials were present in the event.
