FIR against coal dealer for not paying debt

SHILLONG: Augustine Kyndait of Moolamanoh village lodged a complaint that in a business deal, Smen Kyndait who transported coal from his depot at Lalmati in Guwahati from April 21, failed to clear an outstanding amount of Rs. 57,92,754.

In another FIR, Pherly Dkhar of Iongkaluh village lodged a complaint that he purchased coal mine from Phyrnai Kyndait and Rica Kyndait and extracted coal from the mine.
Later, due to the NGT ban, coal mining was stopped from the aforesaid coal mine. However, after a period of three years Phyrnai and Rica claimed that the land belonged to them, and demanded Rs. 20 lakh for the extracted coal and also threatened the complainant with dire consequences.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, police detected a dumper truck (without registration number) driven by Philmon Siangshai, while loading coal from a coal depot, at Lekilo in East Jaintia Hills in violation of the NGT order.
