New police station at Nonghyllam

SHILLONG: For public convenience and better administration, the government of Meghalaya has notified for the creation of a new police station at Nonghyllam in South West Khasi Hills district to be known as Nonghyllam Police Station.

On creation of the Nonghyllam Police Station, the areas coming under its jurisdiction shall cease to be under Ranikor Police Station.

The villages falling under Nonghyllam Police Station are : Nonghyllam, Umsur, Nongjri, Umbar, Poitblei, Nongkulang, Pormawdar, Amarsang, Umtengkut, Weikut, Sohling, Chibak, Upper Chibak, Khonjoy (A), Khonjoy (B), Rangdonggai, Kampilgre, Chitokgre, Maheshkola, Hemanagar, Gelangdra, Kaitakona, Garobita, Kachiasora, Mawhar, Nowasora, Maheshkola Gomagok, Jaru Bagan, Diengngan, Tinpul Nayagaon, Thateja, Rajaju, Sawnumbor, Rongdikgre, Rongdhigre, Chimasora, Ganganagar-A, Ganganagar-B, Gillagora, Upper Gillagora, Koraibari, Upper Koraibari, Majisora, Kutchiasora, Bagli, Rongdusora, Chiragao, Lakma, Borsora, Shipur and Amarsang.

Boundaries of the Nonghyllam Police Station are Nongstoin Police Station and Mawkyrwat Police Station in the North, Ranikor Police Station in the East, Bangladesh in the South and Rongara Police Station of South Garo Hills District in the West.
