SHILLONG: P.T. Sawkmie, MDC, Co-Chairman Meghalaya Resource and Employment Generation Council in a meeting held on Thursday at Mawlai, expressed his appreciation to Chief Minister Mukul Sangma for his approach in making Meghalaya a developed State.
In spite of the financial position that the State is experiencing, the chief minister could take care of developmental works for the interest of the employees of the State as it is evident from the pay commission report, Sawkmie said in a statement.
Sawkmie said that the “Fifth pay commission” is well calculated from all angles as it is in the interest of the government employees, since they are the backbone of the government and partakers of development.
