Shelter home children condole deaths

SHILLONG: The children from three shelter homes in the city on Monday prayed for the three lives which were lost in the tragic incident near Raj Bhavan on Saturday.
Reach Shillong Ministries celebrated Pre-Independence Day with the children from the three Open Day shelter. Members of Reach Shillong and the children condoled the deaths of the three persons and prayed for them and their families during the programme.
D K Prasad, OC, Sadar Police Station was the chief guest.
He spoke on the importance of Independence Day at the same time encouraged the children to not lose hope but to always remember that God is on their side.
