Air hostess from city dies in Kolkata

SHILLONG: A young girl from Shillong working as an air hostess with a private airline was found dead on Wednesday after she had allegedly fell from the third floor of a building in Kolkata.

Police have detained two suspects after the unnatural death of air hostess Clara Bansharai Khongsit, originally a resident of Upper Lumparing in Shillong. Her body was found lying in pool of blood on road in front of her three-story flat at Kestopur near Dum Dum airport.

East Khasi Hills Police, Davis Marak said that so far, neither the relatives nor Kolkata Police had approached them on the matter and Laban police station had been asked to get in touch with the family.

On the other hand, Baguiati Police Station informed that two people have been arrested and their interrogation is still on.

Meanwhile, the brother of the girl who is a cop in Shillong has already left for Kolkata.

It is said that the victim was celebrating a birth day party along with her two friends- a male and a female till late night.
