Threat to WKH govt office after landslide

NONGSTOIN: A landslide occurred at Mawiong Pyndengrei in West Khasi Hills on August 11 due to the continuous rain, a delayed report said.
A huge amount of debris fell on a house owned by Phelington Lyngdoh but no casualty was reported. The incident occurred around 11.30pm on August 11.
The landslide has raised alarm about the safety of the office of the inspector of legal Metrology that is located on the top of a hillock.
“The Office was not properly constructed as there is no wall to ensure the safety of the neighboring house,” Phelington said.
