Sensitisation prog of private security agencies held

SHILLONG: A sensitisation programme of private security agencies was held at the DGP office on Friday. Apart from sensitising operators of the private security agencies to the provisions of the private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005 and its rules, the programme highlighted an interface of senior police officers with them on various issues governing private security in the state.
In his key note address, DGP SB Singh stressed on the need to forge a partnership between private security agencies and the police in providing a high quality public safety and security.
