Workshop on Good Clinical Practice held

Shillong: A one-day workshop on Good Clinical Practice was conducted in NEIGRIHMS on August 14. The aim of the workshop was to improve the understanding bioethical issues related to biomedical research and Clinical trial. The workshop will pave a way for Ethics Committee of NEIGRIHMS to get registration with Drug Controller General of India. 164 participants from different parts of country participated in the workshop. The resource persons Dr. S.Sandiya ,Dr. Melvin George and Dr. Sanish Davis spoke about principles of Good Clinical Practice, Regulations and guidelines in India for Clinical trials, Audits, inspection and monitoring in clinical trials, essential documents among other topics.
