Cattle trading prohibited in EKH village

SHILLONG: The Executive Dorbar of Umniuh-Tmar Sirdarship has prohibited the trading of cattle and for cattle to cross the jurisdiction of its Elaka following suspicions that some people are smuggling cattle to Bangladesh by destroying the agricultural crops, roads etc.
The Hima of Umniuh-Tmar Sirdarship falling under the East Khasi Hills district has urged the district administration, BSF and the State Government to look into the matter.
