SHILLONG: Like previous years, this year too, roads in different parts of the state capital city, Shillong   have been damaged following heavy rains for the past couple of months.

A visit to different pockets of Shillong indicates that the many important roads in the city are now full of potholes which makes driving and riding risky.

It is common   scene in the capital city that most of the important roads in the city start giving away during rainy season as the city every year receives heavy rainfall during the monsoon.

The road from Anjali point till Iew Mawlong and nearby commercial areas are also in sorry state though it is the biggest commercial area.

Secretary of the PWD (Building and Roads), B Kharbuli said that all the broken roads and potholes would be repaired after monsoon season is over.

He also informed that repairing of roads are taking places in some parts of the city.
