TURA: The A’chik Students’ Welfare Association has once again urged Chief Minister Mukul Sangma to set up a government-run university in Garo Hills. The association recently met Sangma at his official residence in Shillong in this regard and stated that NEHU is not enough to accommodate all students. “Meghalaya is 45 years old but it is unfortunate that we do not have a government-run university till today. Despite knowing the importance of education, the state government has failed to establish a single university which is a shame,” the association said.
