Inauguration
The National Congress Party, Meghalaya state will inaugurate its party head office situated near Pantaloon, Jowai Road, Laitumkhrah on Wednesday at 3.30 pm. The party has urged the members of NCP to attend the function.
Silver jubilee
The silver jubilee celebration of the Recognition of Nepali Language was held jointly by the five organizations- BharatiyaGorkhaParisanghMeghalaya State, Shillong,Text Book Committee(Nepali), Nepali Sahitya Parishad, Shillong: Sahitya Akademi, Shillong: and Meghalaya Nepali Sahitya Sammelan, Shillong on August 20. SumitraPradhan, Secretary of All Shillong Nepali MahilaSamiti, Shillong and Manju Lama were the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
Seminar
An international seminar on cross border connectivity and inclusive growth :possibilities and challenges with special reference to the NE will be held at Shillong College on August 24.
