R G Lyngdoh to advise NCP in Meghalaya: Saleng Sangma

SHILLONG: Veteran politician and former Congress man, R G Lyngdoh would advise the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Meghalaya as indicated by Saleng Sangma here on Wednesday.

Sangma who recently joined the NCP, further informed that many sitting MLAs and Members of District Council (MDCs) in the state would join the NCP soon.

Making it clear that the NCP will not have pre-poll alliance with any party, the NCP leader asserted that the party would contest in all the 60 Assembly constituencies in 2018 election if it could find capable leaders.

Meanwhile, NCP leader Sanbor Shullai on Wednesday expressed his ignorance on media reports about his chances of joining the BJP and asserted that he would remain with the NCP. Shullai inaugurated the state NCP’s central office here.
