RESUBELPARA: A 21-year-old GNLA cadre surrendered to North Garo Hills police at Adokgre anti-dacoity camp on Wednesday evening.
Sengku M Momin told police that he was recruited against his will. Police said Sengku was with GNLA chief Sohan D Shira at Wagara and Manoj Rabha and Drishti Rajkhowa during the August 16 Dymmit encounter. Sengku, who worked as a courier, revealed that 15 days before the encounter, GNLA cadres had come to Adokgre village to recruit. District police chief DP Marak said Sengku will be thoroughly interrogated.
