SHILLONG: The Nongstoin circle of the Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) shouted slogans demanding Inner Line Permit (ILP) when the 70 members reached the residence of Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh at Sohiong.
A statement issued here said the HYC Nongstoin circle members, who will traverse a distance of 93 km to Shillong, are scheduled to arrive on Thursday and gather at the parking lot of the Additional Secretariat where they will submit a memorandum in the office of the Chief Minister. HYC has urged others to join the rally demanding ILP and other developmental works in West Khasi Hills. Meanwhile, the HYC Shillong City unit extended its support to Nongstoin circle.
