GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday announced Rs. 2 lakh for the treatment of the veteran communist leader Drupad Borgohian who has been ailing for quite some time.
Drupad Borgohain, a Communist Party of India leader was a Rajya Sabha and Bidhan Sabha Member. Chief Minister Sonowal besides announcing Rs. 2 lakh for the veteran leader’s treatment, asked Deputy Commissioner Sivasagar district, Narayan Konwar to do the needful for facilitating his better treatment.
