SHILLONG: The city police busted a prostitution racket on Saturday evening and arrested 10 persons, including six girls.
Following information, police raided a house located at Mawblei, Madanrting Block B around 7 pm and arrested six sex workers and four men including a pimp and 3 personnel of 22 Assam Rifles.
The tenant, who was running the sex racket, however, managed to escape, police said.
Among the girls, some are from Khanapara and others from Garo Hills. Two of the girls are minors.
A case under Immoral Traffic Prevention Act was registered.
