Senior Congress leader Diverland Lyngdoh joins NPP

The National People’s Party (NPP) on Tuesday felicitated Diverland Lyngdoh, former Congress AICC member, ex-general secretary of MPCC and former president of the Meghalaya State Youth Congress, on his joining the NPP at a meeting in Mawkyrwat. Senior leaders of the NPP including James K Sangma MLA, were present during the felicitation of the former Congress leader.

SHILLONG:  The ruling Congress has suffered another jolt before the Assembly elections as former AICC Member and General Secretary of MPCC Diverland Lyngdoh has deserted the party to join the National People’s Party (NPP)

He was also felicitated on Tuesday on his joining the NPP at a meeting in Mawkyrwat.

The meeting also confirmed the appointment of the office bearers of the NPP Mawkyrwat Block Committee.

Senior leaders of the NPP were also present   on the occasion. During the felicitation, Diverland Lyngdoh stated that he was very excited after become a member of the NPP as he believes that the Party stands for the right reasons such as working for the people and the development of the state.
