NONGSTOIN: A newborn baby was found dead on a road at Tiehsaw village of West Khasi Hills.
Police and villagers are yet to ascertain who had left the baby that had both its legs eaten by dogs.
An eyewitness M. Sun said she saw dogs eating the legs of the newborn in Peng Thlen locality under Tiehsaw village around 1.40pm on Wednesday while she was on her way to pick up her children from school.
“At first I thought it was a monkey but after as we drove close I noticed that it was a human being,” Sun said.
Sun later told her husband who informed the police and village head.
