Reservoir project
The Chief Engineer (WR), Meghalaya, Shillong has informed that the Water Resources Department is going to take up Multi-purpose Reservoir Project. Any land owner/farmer who is interested can come forward with their application and also indicate the land for the site project so that necessary survey and investigation by the office of all Executive Engineers in various districts can be done for its feasibility.
Foundation day
The North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE), Umiam, a constituent unit of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will celebrate its 57th Foundation Day on September 17 at NERIE, Umiam at 10:30 am.
Blood donation
A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organised by Power Grid NERTS RHQ Shillong in association with M/s Bethany Hospital Shillong wherein employees of the company and their family members donated blood. The camp was organized as a part of observance of the 75th anniversary of Quit India Movement. Power Grid is organizing similar blood donation camps in Misa, Silchar, Bongaigaon, Guwahati and Imphal.
