TURA: In yet another case of child abuse a 10-year-old girl was raped by a man in her own home at Darugre Reserved Forest area under Rongjeng in East Garo Hills.
A police source in charge of the investigation of the case revealed that the ten-year-old girl was alone in her house when one, Favian M Sangma (22) took advantage of the situation and forced himself on her. The accused who also hails from the same village as the victim has since been arrested.
“We have arrested the accused and he has confessed to the crime. The victim has also been sent for medical examination” Superintendent of Police (SP) in-charge, R T G Momin informed.
