SHILLONG: The former members of the executive committee of Pynursla Block Congress Committee (PBCC) are scheduled to meet on Tuesday to discuss on their future course of action following the sudden decision of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) to dissolve the Block Congress Committee in the constituency.
A former member of the Block Pynursla Block Congress Committee expressed their surprise over the sudden dissolution of the committee saying there was no valid ground for such action on part of the MPCC.
Stating that the committee has not indulged in any anti-party, the members said that they will decide in Tuesday’s meeting whether they would associate themselves with any other party.
“We would also have to discuss with the sitting local MLA, Prestone Tynsong before taking such a major decision,” members added on the request of anonymity.
Earlier, Congress legislator, Prestone Tynsong said he was not consulted before the party dissolved the PBCC adding that he was told about this development by the Block Congress president.
