Five more pairs of trains to be restored soon by the NF Railway

GUWAHATI: The Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway authority has already restored running of four pairs of passenger carrying trains September 2 towards Delhi and Kolkata. These include Rajdhani Express, North East Express, Kamrup Express and Kolkata – Radhikapur Express. It has also been decided to restore another five pairs of passenger carrying trains shortly which include Guwahati – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Guwahati Express, Naharlagun – New Delhi – Naharlagun AC Express, Agartala – Anand Vihar Terminus – Agartala Tripura Sundari Express, Dibrugarh – Kaniyakumari – Dibrugarh Vivek Express and Kanchanjungha Express running from Sealdah to Guwahati/Agartala/Silchar. Goods train are also being run over the affected portion to avoid shortfall of essential commodities in NE states, according to the CPRO of the NF Railway, Pranav Jyoti Sharma

 

It may be mentioned here that the UP line along with bridge no 133 between Sudhani and Telta station was certified fit for train running on 29th August, 2017 with some restriction. Restoration work is still in progress and situation being monitored. Till situation improves further some trains will continue to remain cancelled.
