SHILLONG: After NPP claimed that seven legislators will join the party ahead of the polls, there are indications from Independent legislator Robinus Syngkon, who has decided to associate with BJP, that another set of seven legislators will join the saffron party.
Both NPP and BJP hinted that the legislators who will join the parties will be mostly from the Congress. NCP had also made similar claims in the past.
As far as independent legislators are concerned, Syngkon and Justine Dkhar had given conditional support to BJP provided that the saffron party addresses the issues related to ban on coal mining. Another Independent legislator, Stephanson Mukhim, is expected to follow suit.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, both Syngkon and Dkhar refused to divulge the names of other four sitting legislators who will join BJP.
