Meeting
MeECL Casual workers from across Meghalaya will hold a meeting on Saturday (September 9) at 11am at the Community Hall Mission Compound.

Orientation
The University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) will organise Orientation Program 2017 for the newly admitted 2000 students for this academic year on September 6 at 10 am in 9th Mile, USTM Campus. Prof NC Talukdar, Director IASST, Guwahati and Prof Gautam Biswas, Director IITG will grace the occasion along with more than 100 eminent academicians, expert professionals from various fields of study and dignitaries to interact with the students.

Members elected
The new members of the National People’s Party (NPP) Block Level Committee for Salmanpara Constituency, Garo Hills were recently elected in a meeting. The meeting elected Sengbith Ch Momin as President, Ropindro Marak as Working President, and Barnabash Sangma Pollen Koch and Killon Sangma as vice presidents, among others.

Appointment
NPP has appointed iss Ratika Yumnam from Manipur as the National Youth President of the party. Yumnam had represented the NE indigenous communities at the 5th UN Forum on Business and Human Rights in Switzerland.
