SHILLONG: Something was “boiling” in the state Secretariat and it has nothing to do with political issues, societal turmoil. Tea was brewing inside the power House as cooks were making tea on the side of stairs leading to the third floor.
On Wednesday, when people ascended the stairs that led to the room of the Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and other Ministers on the third floor, they could see water boiling on a gas burner. However, they were clueless on what was going on.
Later, it was learnt that it was a catering service from Pinewood Hotel. When asked, some people feigned ignorance while others said that it was for the CM.
It may be mentioned that the CM met some officials of a department on Wednesday and later met some delegates of R-Bhoi Students’ Union (RBSU).
