SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) has warned those affiliated institutions which have failed to maintain 50 per cent pass percentage in board examinations will face necessary action if they do not improve the pass percentage.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, Pravin Bakshi, executive chairman of MBoSE, said the past three years’ record shows many institutions failed to maintain an average pass percentage of 50 per cent in SSLC and HSSLC examinations.
He said as per the MBoSE Regulation for Affiliation (Chapter iv.2i), all affiliated institutions are required to meet the criterion.
Bakshi asked all those institutions to take necessary measures to achieve satisfactory pass percentage in the coming years, failing which the board would take necessary action as per the regulations, which may include deaffiliation.
