MGNREGA provides earning source to rural women in Garo Hills

TURA: Women from the village of Dilsinggre in Rongara area of South Garo Hills break stones to collect material for the construction of a village check dam to conserve water for the upcoming dry season. Instead of hiring labour, these women undertake the work themselves and are thereby able to get paid for work that is going to benefit their own village in the long run. ST photo
