SHILLONG: The UDP women’s wing was formed on Saturday with Margaret Khyriem as the president and Gwendalin as the general secretary.
The women’s wing has expressed concern over the Congress led administration of not being fruitful, as there are no policies on youth, farmers and sports.They also pointed out that there is an increase in substance abuse, rapes, crimes against women and children.
On the other hand, the women’s body hopes that the alliance of UDP-HSPDP-GNC will emerge victorious in 2018 Assembly elections.
