SHILLONG: The State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has sought a detailed report on the complaints lodged by the relatives of a 16-year-old girl, who was forced into flesh trade by her mother, in January.
Chairperson Meena Kharkongor has written to the officer in charge of Madanrting police station saying the Commission has received the complaints against trafficking by the mother of the girl and two accused men, Shngain Nongrum and Hep.
Besides the first complaint on January 12, another FIR was lodged on September 5.
“Before going into the merit of the case, it was felt that a detailed report may be immediately filed to the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights along with all relevant documents and GD entries, if any,” the Commission said.
