Cong member from Ri-Bhoi quits party

SHILLONG: A Congress member from Ri-Bhoi, Dipul R. Ryntathiang, who was a 2014 MDC candidate from Umsning constituency, has decided to leave the party.
He cited personal reasons for his actions and has tendered his resignation letter to the leaders of the party.
He was a former Secretary of Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (MPYCC), Working President of District Congress Committee (DCC), Ri-Bhoi district, President of District Youth Congress Committee (DYCC).
It may be mentioned that in the month of May, CB Syiem who was the president of Nongpoh Block Congress Committee (NBCC) and also the right hand man of Lapang resigned from the primary membership of the party.
Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Shella Mandal has appointed new office bearers in a bid to strengthen the party in the upcoming elections.
Jrop Sing Nongkhlaw was appointed as the President of Shella Mandal, Rapshan Chyne as President in-charge Cluster Village, Arjust Nongtraw as President of Kissan Morcha besides many other members.
