SHILLONG: The bust of former MLA of Laban constituency, Late Bhaskar Choudhury was unveiled on Wednesday by local MLA Sanbor Shullai in presence of the family members of Choudhury
Choudhury was an MDC in KHADC since 1972 and also an MLA from Laban constituency for two terms since 1978 to 1988.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanbor Shullai recalled his memories with the late MLA saying he used to work for all the sections of the society.
Shullai also asserted that a message of unity and oneness should go from Laban constituency to the entire Shillong since Laban is the first and oldest cosmopolitan area since British time where people from all community love each other besides respecting the preaching of Bible, Quran and Gita.
