Cyber crime
The Meghalaya Police CID Headquarters has informed that besides Delhi Police, the officers and personnel of the 6th MLP Battalion based in Delhi have also assisted the Cyber Crime Police Station (CCPS) during the arrest of seven person by Officers of CCPS, CID in New Delhi.

General meet
The Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association (MUPSTA), South West Khasi Hills District Unit, will hold its general meeting at the Syiem Maharam Office, Mawkyrwat at 11 am on September 16. The Association will elect or renew its office bearers and executive members for the year 2017-2020.

Loan mela
Indian Bank will conduct a special home loan and car loan mela on its branch premises in the city from September 15 to 26. The bank will also organise MSME meet for traders, service providers and others on September 16.

IMFL seized
In its continued  drive against illicit liquor, the Excise staff of East Khasi Hills District conducted raids on restaurants/stalls in the town and on its outskirts. In August, the officials detected 30 cases with a seizure of 174.650 litres of i/d liquor and 19.155 litres IMFL. In this connection 23 persons were arrested under the Excise Act.

Rice released
DC (Supply), West Garo Hills, informed that AAY & PHH rice for September has been released to Tura urban and rural fair price shops. All F.P. Shops are to issue PHH rice at the scale of 5kg per head per month and AAY rice at the scale of 35kg per card per month to beneficiaries under the NFSA 2013.

Notice
The District Transport Officer & Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, East Khasi Hills, informed that all commercial vehicles plying in Shillong Region should comply with the conditions laid down in the permit and if anyone violates the order, action will be taken accordingly.
