Man booked for spitting at CM car

SHILLONG: One person was detained for spitting at the chief minister’s vehicle that was parked outside Sein Jaintia Hall at Qualapatty on Thursday evening.
An inebriated Bajopthiaw Lyngdoh Marshillong spat at Mukul Sangma’s vehicle when the latter was attending a programme inside the hall, police said.
Marshillong was detained at Lumdiengjri police station for questioning. He was booked under the Meghalaya Police Act but was later released.
