UDP loses its men to Cong at Ranikor LAC

SHILLONG: Congress in Ranikor Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) has received a major boost after leaders of United Democratic Party (UDP) joined the party on Tuesday.

K Lyngkhoi, who was the former treasurer of the UDP, told the media that they were supporting Congress. “we will soon have a meeting in Ranikor to further strengthen the party,” he said adding they see a bright future for Congress in the constituency.

He also exuded confidence that about 7000 people from the constituency who, he claimed to be his supporter, will vote for the Congress.
