ICSSR-NERC will organise a 2-day national seminar on ‘Towards Social Justice: Impact of Positive Discrimination on Marginalised Communities with Special Reference to the Scheduled Caste Groups of India’ at the ICSSR-NERC conference room on NEHU campus on September 21 and 22.Gopal Guru, professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, will be delivering the keynote address at the inaugural session.
Peace Day
The Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides will conduct a route march in celebration of ‘International Day of Peace’. The march to be flag off from its Headquarters, Shillong, at 9 am followed by singing and poetry competition on the theme ‘Together for Peace: Respect, Safety and Dignity for All’ on September 21.
