NONGSTOIN: National Congress Party (NCP) leader Saleng A Sangma inaugurated the Nongstoin NCP Block office in Nongstoin on Saturday.
The inauguration programme was attended by Vijay Raj, vice president state NCP, general secretary, S.P. Thapa, Dakkpupar Nongrum, general secretary Youth wing, Torang R Marak, president youth wing, Andrew Charles Gare, president NCP, West Khasi Hills and Block NCP leaders of West Khasi Hills district and hundreds of members.
Andrew Gare said that the number of NCP members is increasing everyday and the party also has its own blocks and units in other parts of West Khasi Hills.
He said that NCP West Khasi Hills, aims to secure all the 5 seats in the district.
Speaking in the programme, Saleng, who had recently joined NCP, said that he was very happy and motivated by the support of the people for the last few months.
He promised a sea change in the state and asked the people of State to give the party a chance to govern the state.
