SHILLONG: UDP leader from Garo Hills Arun N Marak asserted that the party would construct buildings, bridges and roads if the party gets to form the government.
Taking a dig at the Congress- led Meghalaya United Alliance (MUA-II) government which was alleged to have gone on an inauguration spree, Marak said, “We will use our stones not for laying foundations like the MUA-II government, but we will use stones for construction of buildings, bridges and road.”
Marak also informed that they have elected new members of Songsak circle with Romarson Ch Marak as president, and John Chimen Marak as general secretary.
A tribute was also paid to late Heltone N Marak.
