SHILLONG: Believers from Mawphlang Presbytery have called upon Mawphlang Presbytery to “wake up” and “rake up” the issue of Rs 6 lakhs donation by Ex Chief Engineer of PHE, SK Sunn to the Christian college, Khraw Sing College.
The believers took exception to the donation as according to them it is akin to mixing up black and unaccounted money with accounted ones given by believers as tithes.
In a press statement issued here, they pointed out that Sunn swindled crores of money through fake schemes of PHE department as per the CAG report and questioned the Church leaders whether they were aware of the source of the money.
Sunn has recently announced his decision to contest the upcoming 2018 Assembly elections from Mawphlang. Currently, Mawphlang is represented by Congress MLA, Kennedy Khyriem.
