SHILLONG: A local court here on Thursday granted anticipatory bail to absconding UDP leader Gerald Shullai in connection with a case of damaging property at the Congress party office in Lower Mawprem.
The court granted the pre-arrest bail with the condition that Shullai has to cooperate in the investigation and he must appear before the investigating officer when asked to.
Shullai was allegedly involved in damaging a CCTV camera at the Congress office.
Congress ticket aspirant Mohendro Rapsang had lodged a complaint that three miscreants involved in the incident were caught on CCTV camera on September 17. However, Shullai’s name was not mentioned in the FIR.
