SHILLONG: Union Minister of State for Tourism, Alphons Kannanthanam heaped praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his “clean image.”

Referring to Modi’s slogan of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” which has been translated as collective efforts, inclusive growth, he said, “Modiji’s big dream means simple things. This government is for everybody. We want Modi’s dream to be shared by the people of Meghalaya.”

He added that the formation of an honest government is fundamental to the core belief of the BJP. “Modiji said ‘I will not steal and will not let anybody steal’. Within six months of coming to power he wiped out corruption completely from Delhi.”

Terming it as an incredible story in which he claimed that there have been no allegations of corruption against Modi, he said, “This is an incredible story of how one man and his mission has transformed India (into) a corruption free government.”

Alphons said that the BJP government would bring to the people a corruption free government and would ensure opportunity for every community.
