The party took the decision on Sunday at a huge gathering at Rngi Lower Iew Rambrai Community Hall and welcomed Nongshlong who was elected as the President of PDF Zonal Committee on Friday.
The Meeting was also attended by President of PDF State Executive Committee Ivanlumlang Marbaniang, L G Nongsiej, MDC of Nongstoin constituency, Morning Masor, MDC Mawshynrut, General Secretary of PDF Auspicious Lyngdoh and hundreds of PDF supporters who joined the party as active members.

Addressing at a huge gathering, Nongshlong said “I have waited for this moment to lead the people of Rambrai for a change for the better.” He also thanked the PDF leadership for giving him the chance to contest in the upcoming Assembly election.

He also said that he was a right hand man of K Pangniang and was promised by him to contest in the last MDC by-election but the party did not give him the chance to contest, and this day would remain a memorable moment as he had become sure to contest from PDF, a party which formed for only 7 months.
