SHILLONG: The UDP-HSPDP alliance will organise a public meeting at Mawngap market on October 5.
HSPDP president Ardent Basaiawmoit, UDP member Titosstarwell Chyne and the alliance candidate from HSPDP, PM Syiem, will be present at the meeting.
The HSPDP election committee has released its first list of poll candidates for 10 Assembly constituencies for the 2018 elections.
The party has so far released the names of 13 candidates and UDP has announced the names of 28 candidates.
Meanwhile, the UDP Lansonalane unit held a meeting on September 23 in which former MDC Martamlin Pyrbot from Jaiaw and UDP candidate from North Shillong for Assembly elections was also present.
Office bearers of the unit are Reagan Kharshandy (president), Banri Ryntathiang (vice president), Daman Shangpliang (secretary), Balatngen Shabong (assistant secretary), Damame Jyrwa (organising secretary), Sofia Dkhar (publicity secretary), Janita Ryntathiang (treasurer) and 25 executive members.
