Car detained for biker’s death

SHILLONG: Police detained a vehicle in connection with the accident which claimed the life of a biker identified as Raj Kishore Singh of Garikhana on Saturday night near Military Hospital.
Earlier, the relative of Singh had filed a complaint with the police.
Though the vehicle was detained, police have to further verify whether the same vehicle was involved in the fatal accident.

Training for students held
SHILLONG: Spes Unica, Meghalaya Region, an NGO run by the Catholic Church conducted a four-day training programme ‘Free Leadership Training and Faith Formation for the Students’ at Mawkynrew Holy Cross higher Secondary School under the theme ‘You are the Light of the World’ from September 27 to 30.
As many as 250 students from seven schools participated.
