The news item in The Shillong Times published on October 5 under the headline ‘Youth saves grandmother from being swept away in flood’ has wrongly stated the name of the grandson as ‘Chingkam’. The name should have been written as ‘Aljam D Sangma’ and not as earlier stated. The error is regretted.

Threat
A complaint was lodged by Lini Timung staing that on October 4 at around 2.30 pm, Sbait Bareh armed with a dao came to her tea-stall at Lad Sutnga (EJH), pulled her, ordered her to close the shop and also threatened her with dire consequences.
